More than 3.2 million Americans suffer from schizophrenia; about 100,000 people are newly diagnosed every year. The disease includes a wide range of symptoms including visual and auditory hallucinations, cognitive problems and motivational issues. A key issue with the disease, and one that gets less attention than other symptoms, is cognitive problems. Many with the disease have trouble with learning and memory. For many, this is the first sign of the disease.

For Boys At Risk of Psychopathy, Laughter Isn't So Contagious

Individuals at risk of psychopathy show persistent disruptive behaviors alongside callous-unemotional traits. When asked in the study, boys fitting that description reported that they didn't want to join in with laughter as much as their peers. Images of their brains also showed reduced response to the sound of laughter. Those differences were seen in brain areas that promote joining in with others and resonating with other people's emotions, not in auditory brain areas.

Hazards of a Patrol.

TK-24/7 was an expert on the long AT-ST patrol tours on the planet Hoth. He could do them over and over. It was great actually, he liked the tours because it was when he could read books on duty.

Although an expert and a bookworm, even TK-24/7 had to step out of the small cabin of the walker every once and a while to flex his muscles. Building something with snow was his favourite.

Well no, this isn't really Godzilla, terrifying and shocking though she may seem - it's a cute little juvenile Praying Mantis female, meticulously preening one of her legs as many females of select species are periodically wont to do. She was perching high on an old wooden fence in rural Illinois, enjoying the autumn sun and making sure she was ready for her next brave suitor. Who she might end up eating. But she'll look absolutely stunning for the occasion, nonetheless. :)
